Combat Related Special Compensation For Veterans

The Combat-Related Special Compensation (CRSC) program provides compensation for eligible Military retirees who have combat-related disabilities.  CRSC offers a monthly, tax-free benefit that supplements VA disability and military retired pay.  To apply, you must meet the following criteria and have at least one VA rated injury assessed to be combat-related:

  • Active, Reserve or Medically retired with at least 20 years of service;
  • Receiving retired pay;
  • Retired pay is off-set by VA payments; and,
  • You must have a 10 percent of greater VA rated injury.
